Join Tammy for an extended 2 hour exploring the Rocket Yoga Practice.
Rocket Yoga is a dynamic and fast-paced style of yoga. The structure is similar to that of Ashtanga which is originates from, consisting of a warm-up (Sun Sal A + B), standing poses, seated poses, and ending with the closing series! But it is more accessible - allowing yogis more creativity in sequencing, and to be able to practice postures you wouldn’t find till later in the Ashtanga series. (Not to mention all the fun transitions, balances and inversions!)
There are 3 set sequences, this workshop we will be focusing on Rocket 1. This is based around the Ashtanga Primary Series. Think forward folds, hamstrings, hips and lots of seated postures.
There will be modifications for each posture to suit everyone, whether you need to take it a little easier or challenge yourself. As we progress through the class we will learn safely how to enter some of the more advanced postures, and ways to make them feel good to you.
This workshop is great for those wanting to develop their physical practice. Suitable for those that are new to Rocket, but would be challenging for those completely new to yoga so some experience is recommended to get the most from this exploration.
